One of the most loved buildings for what it can offer, Whitehall Guesthouse is an historic guesthouse specifically renovated for Group Accommodation.
It is located in a residential area in the seaside town of Queenscliff, Victoria. Whitehall is ideal for Families and friends, but equally it is a great option for conferencing and work groups, and any community groups.
“This was the perfect solution. The living/dining room was big enough for us all to be in there at the same time – either all eating together, or groups of people playing table tennis, playing board games, reading, chatting, watching TV, etc. Big kitchen with heaps of bench space and huge fridges and fabulous fast dishwasher. Loads of bedrooms so everyone could find their own space to suit. Big balcony and a few smaller ones to hang out. Yes it’s a bit old and imperfect and doors don’t always close, but that really wasn’t important. We had a wonderful long weekend and Whitehall was a large part of that success.” Lisa Jan 2019
Whitehall can accommodate groups of up to 75 people but is also very comfortable for smaller groups of 15 or more. Your group has exclusive use of the building for the duration of your stay. CLICK HERE FOR LAYOUT OF BUILDING..
Whitehall is located in the heart of the classic fishing village of Queenscliff (Victoria) at 11 Learmonth Street (it is in a quiet residential location with water views). Within a few minutes walk to the main street, lots of parks, close to Swan Bay, the steam train, all beaches and the famous new harbor: all a short walk away.
The location is private and quiet, in a very picturesque street, and out of the busy tourist area.
The property features a large common area that is used for dining/lounge purposes and a covered area outside. It has two separate sitting rooms and a large sheltered balcony with views.
The property has 32 bedrooms – a mix of queen-size beds – and single beds. Guests share 9 bathrooms, including 11 showers. FLOOR PLAN CLICK HERE.
We have just recently installed a full disabled bathroom to ensure the building is able to be enjoyed by everyone who are part of a group. The building is now fully all-ability accessible.
We supply all bed linen and towels with plenty of doonas, pillows and blankets for the duration of the stay. Guests make their own beds.
Our kitchen is located centrally and is the hub of activities. It is equipped with 3 commercial ovens, an 8 burner cook-top, a commercial dish-washing machine (makes the cleaning up a breeze), plenty of refrigeration and enough cutlery and crockery for all.
“What a great venue for a large group of people. But the best feature by far is the commercial dishwasher. It washes a whole load of dishes in a couple of minutes – fantastic! And Queenscliff is a great place to explore.” Richard
